Hideout
Homeless Shelter and Fashion Shop

‘Hideout’ is a concept of a homeless shelter and a fashion shop boutique situated in Mynshull house in Manchester. This concept of the space aims to rehabilitate homeless people. The fashion boutique acts as a charity fashion shop supporting homeless people by giving them donated clothes. The clothes from the fashion shop are donated and displayed like new through mannequins on the first floor for the homeless to choose from freely. The upper floor consists of a soup kitchen focused on helping the homeless through the day by providing the essential needs of food and drink. The next two floors consist of a rehabilitation centre and learning areas. These areas are essential for rebuilding the lives of homeless people through housing and emotional support and several skill sessions. The concept is focused on helping the needs of homeless people and one of the many essential needs is clothing. This is a centre where all homeless people are welcome to get clothing, support, food, drink, gain skills and even just a new friend.
